Stádlec bridge

most_stadlec_l.jpg The only Czech preserved chain bridge is a national culture monument. The bridge was constructed between 1847 - 1848 by South Bohemian industrialist Vojtěch Lanna. It used to be spanning the Vltava river, today it´s spanning Lužnice river. They took the chain bridge to pieces and fit it up of 2000 stone parts and 1100 steel parts. 6m wide and 157m long technical landmark is a popular destination for water sportsmen, cyclists and photographers. The bridge which is a rarity of Central Europe
links a timbered valley of Lužnice on the road between city of Bechyně and Tábor.
