Where on the map can I find the Czech Republic?

The Czech Republic lies east of Germany, north of Austria, west of Slovakia and south of Poland. Šumava lies in the southwest of the Czech Republic.

What is a Kraj?

The Czech Republic is devided into 14 governemental regions. Such a region is called a kraj. The Czech word 'kraj' can be translated as district or province. The 14 krajs are:
- The capital Praha
- Středočeský kraj
- Jihočeský kraj
- Plzeňský kraj
- Karlovarský kraj
- Ústecký kraj
- Liberecký kraj
- Královéhradecký kraj
